Agape is the Answer

I’m not arguing; I’m just explaining why I’m right!

I’m not arguing; I’m just explaining why I’m right!

We can argue theology

And Bible inerrancy or infallibility

Until we are blue in the face.

We can call each other heretics

And challenge each other on knowledge of verses

But if we don’t have God’s love, we are nothing.

Jesus didn’t intend to

Start a new religion;

He wanted to transform Judaism.

His intent was to fulfill the law,

To take it to its logical conclusion

And teach us its true meaning.

All the laws and the prophets are complete in

Love God and love our neighbor (not either/or).

Jesus soldered them together.

Differences in doctrine mean nothing;

Whether evangelical or emergent,

Love is what matters; His love is the answer.

  1. I love this blog post! 🙂 We should be reminded that in essentials we should have unity, in non essentials we can have diversity but in everything we must have charity. Spread the love. You’re a blessing! 🙂

    1. I agree completely. Until we are courageous enough to listen, we will forever be stuck in our own deafness.
      Thank you for reading and for your comment.

    1. Hah! Thank you, Mel! It always lifts me up when I hear from you. Continuing to beat the drum.
      BTW, my brain is continuing to be blown by “The Bible Tells Me So…”. Reading it back and forth with my Bible, checking in with the Spirit, I continue to grow in faith.
      Thank you and bless you, my brother.

    Yes. I did a post a couple days ago about doing away with religion because Jesus desires a relationship rooted in love. Religion delays with law while relationship deals with love. Amen! Powerful words great post!

      1. Thank you! The difference is that when you click on your name, the word “blog” is left out. There may be a way you can change that in your dashboard.
