The Heart

father cradling baby

The Lord sees not as people see;

people look at the outward appearance,

but the Lord looks into the heart.

1 Samuel 16:7

As I guide you in Trinity

Please grasp that you’re my progeny

Your trespasses have been erased

I count them naught through my good Grace; no memory

You’re My sweet child, you’re family

And with My love comes guarantee

I AM your Refuge, your Safe Place

Invited into My embrace at Calvary

My love is given boundlessly

And you can trust with certainty

Together we will walk this race

Until I see you face to face, prized company

We Three together set you free

You’re bound with Us in harmony

Abiding in the Spirit’s space

Your walk’s been changed to Shepherd’s pace; love is the key

Though you desire clarity

You’re not yet ripe for mysteries

Maturing is not done in haste

The journey’s steps not one to waste, each savory

Though words I speak most quietly

Beloved, you’re My ecstasy

Your heart’s been changed, it’s been replaced

No longer stone, it’s love encased by My decree

I see your heart, its dignity

Our heart connection’s sanctity

On looks or deeds My love’s not based

But My heart’s wisdom, pure and chaste, My love receive

    1. Thanks so much, Beth. Sometimes it takes me longer to find the graphics than it does to write the poetry!

Have a peaceful weekend, my sweet friend. 🙂

  9. Beautiful. I like the use of the extra words at the end of each verse. It adds a nice touch to the rythm
